2 Arrested for Drugs and Guns

A search of a home in Waterloo turns up three guns along with drugs and leads to the arrest of two people, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The Violent Crime Apprehension Team conducted a search at 2026 Plain View St as part of a weapons investigation. The search found three guns including a .45 caliber Springfield handgun that was reported stolen in August. 19 year old Devonte Wright was arrested and charged with three counts of felon in possession of a firearm, one count of fourth degree theft, and possession of marijuana. Wright was also detained on a parole violation out of Polk County. His bond was set at $85,000. Wright’s father, 42 year old David Wright, Sr also lives in the home. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
