Monday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock volleyball team won a thriller to go to the State Tournament. The Go-Hawks faced Dallas Center-Grimes and won 25-23, 25-18, 17-25, 21-25 and 16-14. In Set 5 the Go-Hawks trailed 10-4 before storming back with some big aces and key kills. Jaz Westmoreland led W-SR with 21 kills and 3 aces.
Waverly-Shell Rock is the 4-seed and will play 5-seed West Delaware Tuesday, November 12th at 6:00 in the State Quarterfinals. KWAY Country will have all the coverage of the Go-Hawks at State.
