A Charles City man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child, according to KIMT. 53 year old Jeffrey Hitchcock has been charged with 3rd degree sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child. According to authorities, Hitchcock had sexual contact with a child under the age of 14 throughout 2020. It is unclear how he know the alleged victim. Hitchcock was picked up on a warrant on Friday and booked into the Floyd County Jail on $15,000 bond.
