Tuesday night in volleyball Waverly-Shell Rock won a Northeast Iowa Conference title by sweeping previously conference unbeaten Decorah 25-22, 25-23 and 25-14.
In the win Go-Hawk Avery Beckett made history. Beckett now has 489 kills this year passing Morgan Kurtt’s 481 kills in 2011 to become the school’s single season kills record holder. Kurtt will be inducted in the State Volleyball Hall of Fame this Fall.
