The construction around the Iowa 58 and Viking Road interchange in Cedar Falls is coming to a close according to KWWL. The interchange was set to open to traffic Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. Overnight closures are expected so contractors can put the finishing touches on the project. Those closures are expected at Greenhill Road and Ridgeway Avenue as well as Viking Road at Andrea Drive and Nordic Drive. The weather could alter these plans, however. The change to the intersection was due to a number of deadly accidents.
