Construction on schools within the Dike New Hartford School district will begin later this month, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Work on both the Dike campus and the New Hartford campus is intended to improve facilities and add space. It came as a result of a bond issue referendum last spring. The construction in New Hartford is not expected to interfere with parking or traffic other than the construction vehicles entering and exiting the campus. In Dike, however, significant alterations to the parking and traffic is expected. The district is asking that parents allow for more time when dropping off and picking up their children and ask them to be respectful of the homeowner’s property near the school. The work is expected to take about 18 months to complete.
