Tuesday night the Denver Cyclone baseball upset 3rd ranked New Hampton to win a Class 2 Sub-State Championship 10-2 in 8 innings. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation when Denver scored 8 runs in the eighth inning to secure a ticket to State. Denver’s pitcher Zach Miller threw a complete game with 12 strikes outs and Mitch Siech hit this solo home run in the win.
Denver will play Monday at the State Tournament at Principal Park in Des Moines.
