Denver Man Faces 20 Counts of Burglary

An eastern Iowa man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into cars.

23-year-old Maxwell Faulkner is facing 20 counts of 3rd degree burglary charges in Denver. Police are now looking into whether he’s behind a string of car break-ins in other areas as well, including more than 40 in Cedar Falls.

Faulkner’s arrest comes just one day after his home was searched in the 600 block of W. 4th St. in Cedar Falls.

Captain Mike Hayes says that during the search, several items were located that came from vehicle burglaries. All of the items were seized by the Cedar Falls Police Department and are being sorted.

Officers from Black Hawk, Grundy and Bremer Counties were involved in the search.

Cedar Falls Police say if your car was broken into, give them a call to see if your things were possibly seized in that search.

Faulkner has not been charged with the burglaries out of Cedar Falls at this time, only out of Denver, and is being held at the Bremer County jail.
