Go-Hawks, Dons & Cedar Valley Dominate State

Saturday night the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks won their 3rd straight Traditional Title to go along with their State Duals Title and the girls State Championship. Waverly-Shell Rock scored 154.5 team points. McCrae Haggarty and Aiden Riggins won individual titles for the Go-Hawks. Don Bosco scored 179.5 team points to win a championship and send retiring coach Tom Hogan out on top as the Dons also won the State Duals.

The area had a number of individual State champs: at 113 Nashua-Plainfield’s Garret Rinken, at 152 Aiden Riggins of Waverly-Shell Rock and Max Magayna of Columbus, at 170 Cade Tenold of Don Bosco, at 182 Carson Tenold of Don Bosco and195 McCrae Haggarty of Waverly-Shell Rock and at 285 Chet Buss of North Butler-Clarksville.
