Guilty Plea in Bremwood Tree House Sexual Assault

A Bremwood escapee has pleaded to sexually abusing a girl in Waverly tree house in May, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 17 year old Chad Chapline, of Ogden, pleaded guilty to second degree Sexual Abuse on Tuesday. He now faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in February. Chapline along with a 15 year old boy and a 15 year old girl ran away from the Bremwood campus in mid-May. The two boys then threatened the girl with a knife and sexually abused her over the course of two days in a tree house. Chapline was charged as an adult despite his lawyer attempting to have the case sent back to juvenile court. The 15 year old boy has been charged in juvenile court.
