A man and his pet dog were killed in a fire in Evansdale on Sunday morning, according to KWWL. Crews were called to the 300 block of Norma Avenue around 8am after a neighbor noticed smoke billowing from the windows of the one-story home. The man and his dog were already deceased when firefighters entered the home. The fire was contained to the bedroom. The rest of the home suffered smoke and water damage. The man’s name has not yet been released. The State Fire Marshal determined the fire was accidental and found nothing suspicious about the blaze.
