A Butler County man has been sentenced to probation and forced to pay a business he burglarized nearly $1,700 in restitution, according to KIMT. 40 year old Matthew Pies of Aplington was arrested on July 25, 2018 after burglarizing Ag Vantage FS in Janesville. In a plea deal Pies plead guilty to 3rd degree burglary, 3rd degree theft, and 3rd degree criminal mischief. He was given two to five years of probation and forced to pay Ag Vantage restitution. Pies trial had been postponed 8 times before he took the plea deal.
