State champion Wapsie Valley boys basketball coach Marty McKowen has been named the 2019-20 All-Iowa Boys’ Basketball Coach of the Year. McKowen helped this year’s Wapsie Valley team grow from an average team to the best team in Class 1A when the dust settled. McKowen has been the coach of the Warriors for 39 years and has 596 career wins and one state championship.
