On Sunday the Waterloo Police asked for the public’s help in locating a missing woman. 27 year old Courtney Elsbernd had last been seen on Thursday. Her vehicle had also gone missing. The Ford Ecosport had recently been purchased from the Dick Witham dealership. Late Sunday night that vehicle was located in a remote parking lot on the UNI campus with Elsbernd inside. An ambulance was called, however, Elsbernd was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say that foul play is not suspected at this time.
