Parolee Arrested for Drugs

Police in Waterloo have arrested a man, who was on parole after serving time for drug and weapons charges, on more drugs and weapons charges, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 51 year old Somvang Meksavanh was arrested after a package from Arizona containing several pounds of methamphetamine sent to his home on North Barclay Street was intercepted. An investigation by the Tri County Drug Enforcement Task Force found numerous firearms, scales and a large amount of cash in Meksavanh’s home. He was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and conspiracy to deliver meth.
