Police Rebranding Committee Member Arrested for Sexually Abusing Teen

A member of the Waterloo Police Rebranding Committee has been arrested for sexually abusing a 15 year old girl, according to KWWL. 41 year old Jamodd Sallis was arrested Tuesday and charged with third degree Sexual Assault and a parole violation. According to Mayor Quentin Hart, Sallis is believed to have had sex with the girl in 2020. Sallis is listed on the city’s website for the committee as a “faith and community leader.” He is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on $25,000 bond. In a statement on Sallis’ arrest, Mayor Hart called the crimes “horrifying” and “abhorrent” and expressed his gratefulness to law enforcement.
