Power has been restored to MidAmerican Energy customers in Black Hawk County following an overnight outage Wednesday into Thursday due to the failure of a piece of equipment that needed to be repaired.
Shortly before midnight, residents reported much of Evansdale had lost power.
MidAmerican Energy said about 1,700 customers in the Waterloo area had no power, most of those were in Evansdale.
Power was restored around 1:30 am.
