Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball team fell to West Delaware 4-2. The Go-Hawks led 1-0 until the Hawks took the lead in the 5th inning. The inability to get timely hits did the Go-Hawks in.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 Waverly-Shell Rock softball lost to Charles City 10-5 on the road. The Go-Hawks led 4-0 before the Comets stormed back to win.
Tuesday night in area softball: Sumner-Fredericksburg edged Grundy Center 2-1, Waterloo East hammered Cedar Falls 15-5 and Janesville edged Columbus 5-4.
In other high school baseball scores: Lansing Kee walked off to beat Wapsie Valley 4-3, Denver clipped Forest City 6-5, Don Bosco hammered Dunkerton 11-1 and Waterloo West beat Linn-Mar 9-3.
