Monday night on Y99.3 in softball the Oelwein Huskies edged Waverly-Shell Rock 4-3. Marley Hagerty put up 14 strike outs and 14 walks in the loss. The loss snapped at least a 24 game winning streak for Waverly-Shell Rock softball over Oelwein.
Monday night in area softball Janesville beat Dunkerton 9-3, Clarksville crushed Riceville 12-1, Denver edged Sumner-Fredericksburg 5-4, North Butler topped Nashua-Plainfield 13-8 and Waterloo East crushed Cedar Rapids Washington 15-0.
