Wednesday night in area baseball: Wapsie Valley walked off to beat 7th ranked Alburnett 2-1, Hudson edged Janesville 12-11, South Winn blanked Sumner-Fredericksburg 8-0, West Fork crushed North Butler 14-0, Waterloo Columbus ran by Decorah 16-5, Dike-New Hartford destroyed Turkey Valley 23-0, Gladbrook-Reinbeck topped Denver 5-0 and Waterloo West edged Iowa City West 5-4 in 8 innings.
