Monday night on Y99.3 Aplington-Parkersburg swept Waterloo Columbus on the basketball court. The 12th ranked Falcon girls trailed 10-8 after the 1st quarter before roaring back to win 64-24. In the boys game the 3rd ranked Falcons got a 90-55 win as Garrett Hempen hit 7 3-pointers and scored 30 points for Aplington-Parkersburg.
In other boys basketball Monday night: Don Bosco topped Clarksville 66-54, Dunkerton outscored Central City 68-35 and Wapsie Valley beat Union 68-36.
In girls basketball: Clarksville slammed Don Bosco 57-14, Oelwein edged Hudson 46-44, Tripoli beat Janesville 50-25, St. Ansgar ran by North Butler 51-30 and Wapsie Valley topped Union 41-26.
