Tuesday night on KWAY Country the New Hampton Chickasaws edged Waverly-Shell Rock in 5 sets. New Hampton won 25-14, 17-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 15-11. With the win the Chickasaws claim the Northeast Iowa Conference Championship. The Go-Hawks will try to get revenge in New Hampton at the conference tournament on Saturday, October 19.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 Waterloo Columbus volleyball edged Wapsie Valley in 5 sets 25-20, 18-25, 17-25, 25-15, and 15-10.
In other area volleyball: Cedar Falls swept Cedar Rapids Washington, Dike-New Hartford swept Union, Don Bosco swept Dunkerton, North Butler swept Rockford, Prairie beat Waterloo East in 4 and Sumner-Fredericksburg swept Aplington-Parkersburg.
