The President of the University of Northern Iowa has been named to a national board of directors. Mark Nook was named to the American Association of State Colleges and Universities on Tuesday at the association’s annual conference in Carlsbad, California. The AASCU say they are an association of members who share a learning and teaching centered culture, a historic commitment to under-served student populations, and a dedication to research and creativity that advances their regions’ economic progress and cultural development. Nook says this is an honor for the entire university and adds credibility nationally as a leader among public institutions.
