RAGBRAI has announced its overnight stops for its 48th edition this summer and Waterloo is among them. The entire list of overnight stops includes Le Mars, Storm Lake, Fort Dodge, Iowa Falls, Waterloo, Anamosa, Maquoketa, and Clinton. The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa will begin on July 19th and wrap up on the 25th. There was some concern about this year’s version of the ride after many of those in charge of organizing it left the Register over the paper’s handling of the Carson King story last year. Those organizers have set up a separate ride called Iowa’s Ride which will cross the state from east to west. Registration for RAGBRAI is open until April 1st, one day riders can register until June 1st. More information about the ride is expected to be announced in March.
