In other softball scores Wednesday night: West Marshall edged Dike-New Hartford 2-1, Benton slammed Aplington-Parkersburg 15-0, Janesville beat Dunkerton 15-3, and Waterloo East swept Cedar Falls 10-1 and 12-0.
Wednesday night in high school baseball Cedar Falls defeated Waverly-Shell Rock 7-4. The Go-Hawks dug themselves a hole early but pulled within one after a 3-run home run by Dalton Graven in the 5th but Cedar Falls would respond with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning to secure the win. The Go-Hawks will be back in action Friday night at home against Oelwein.
