Baseball and softball players from Belmond-Klemme and Eagle Grove can play for any school they choose as long as that school will accept them. Belmond-Klemme and Eagle Grove have canceled their seasons due to coronavirus concerns in Wright County.
Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz says the Hawkeyes could kneel during the anthem this Fall. Ferentz said the team will discuss the issue and will either all kneel or all be at attention during the anthem. Whatever is done will be done together.

High school baseball and softball practice begins June 1st. There will be less time to prepare for the season this year than usual but Waverly-Shell Rock baseball coach Casey Klunder says his team will be ready. Games can begin June 15th and Waverly-Shell Rock’s first games are June 16th.
