Wednesday was a wild day at the Boys State Basketball Tournament in Des Moines. Class 4A Quarterfinals were played as Waukee beat Ames 58-40, Waukee Northwest topped Ankeny Centennial 55-37, Pleasant Valley upset 1-seed Cedar Rapids Kennedy 57-45 and West Des Moines Valley outlasted Norwalk 63-48.
In Class 1A Semifinals Grand View Christian beat West Harrison 68-50 and North Linn used a 20-2 run to erase a 16-point 4th quarter deficit to edge Remsen St. Mary’s 52-50.
