A group of students at Holmes Junior High in Cedar Falls walked out of class Thursday in response to picture on social media depicting a white Cedar Falls student holding up a cookie with the n word spelled out with brown M&Ms. According to KWWL the group chanted “No Justice, No Peace” and “Black Lives Matter” just outside the main entrance. Principal Jeremy Jones says he did not condone the walk out because it was done during the school day. The District says they have disciplined the student in the picture.
