A Waterloo Police cruiser was damaged when it slid off the roadway in icy conditions Wednesday night, according to KWWL. A chase began around 11:30 when the officer noticed a vehicle driving without taillights in the Conger Street and Oakland Avenue area. During the chase, the officer hit a patch of ice and slid into a ditch. Its unclear how much damage was done to the car. The officer was uninjured in the accident. The suspect is still on the loose at this time.
