A Cedar Falls woman already awaiting trial for swapping bar codes at Hy-Vee self-checkout kiosks to steal nearly $900 worth of groceries, has now been arrested for doing the same thing to steal nearly $2,000 worth of groceries, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 28 year old Lexi Reiter is accused of scanning a bar code that would ring up certain items for zero dollars. She was arrested on Monday and charged with second degree Theft for purchases made at the Hy-Vees on Ansborough Avenue and Crossroads Boulevard last year. In October, she was arrested and charged with third degree Theft for purchases made at the Hy-Vee on University Avenue and is awaiting trial in that case. She has, again, been released pending trial.
