Waterloo Police are investigating a baggie with drug residue found in a squad car, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. An officer beginning his shift found the baggie with leaves or seeds inside as he inspected the vehicle as is protocol. Major Joe Leibold says the baggie was likely left behind by a suspect. They will review video footage to determine who left the baggie behind. Leibold says it is rare that this sort of thing happens because officers are instructed to carefully inspect their vehicles before and after every shift.
