Juneteenth Affects City Services

The City of Waverly Offices, including the Recycling Center and the Yard Waste Site and library, will be closed Wednesday for the Juneteenth holiday. Wednesday’s garbage will be picked up on Thursday. The public is asked to have their garbage to the curb by 7:00 a.m. Anyone with questions is asked to contact Public Services.

Waverly Fire Dept Called to Wartburg

The Waverly Fire Department was called to Wartburg after smoke was reported in one of the residence halls. When crews arrived on scene they found that a fan motor on a heat pump in a student’s room had failed, causing the smoke and the smell in the building. No injuries were reported in the incident.

New Pool on Ballot
