Waterloo Police have arrested a man who allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home and sprayed her with bear spray, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 45 year old James Morgan Jr. was originally arrested on April 26th for allegedly assaulting the woman and threatening her with a switchblade. He was released from jail after posting bond. On Saturday the woman awoke around 6am to find Morgan, whom she had a no contact order against, standing over her after he bent open her deadbolt lock. Then, on Monday Morgan returned to the home and got into an argument with the woman. When she got her phone to call police, he allegedly sprayed her in the face with bear spray. Police found Morgan at a Kwik Star. They say they found methamphetamine in his pocket at that time. He has been charged with second degree Burglary, Violation of a No Contact Order, Possession of Meth, and Domestic Assault with Strangulation.
