The timeline for the new Cedar Falls high school has been announced, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The new school is expected to be open and ready for students by the fall of 2024. It will be built on nearly 70 acres of land just west of the University of Northern Iowa campus. It is expected to be around 300,000 square feet once its finished. It will replace the current high school which has become too small and outdated for current expectations. Some did voice a concern about how long the project is expected to take but the school district says they want to take in as much input as possible to ensure they are doing this the right way.
