The North Liberty man convicted of breaking into women’s apartments near Hawkeye Community College and UNI and sexually assaulting them has been sentenced to 100 years behind bars, according to KWWL. Asante Adams was found guilty during a bench trial of two counts of Burglary and two counts of Sexual Assault earlier this year. He has now been sentenced to 25 years in prison on each count. Those sentences will be served consecutively for a total of 100 years. Adams must serve at least 35 years before becoming eligible for parole. He also still faces separate charges for a similar crime in Johnson County in 2022.
