A Waterloo man has been convicted of possessing child pornography for a second time, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 69 year old Forrest Rindels is facing up to 40 years in prison after pleading to two counts of Possession of Child Porn. Each charge carries a sentence of 10-20 years. Rindels will be sentenced at a later date. Federal probation officers found images of adult men having sex with prepubescent children and infants on a tablet and a micro SD card in Rindels’ home in March of 2022. At that time, Rindels was on supervised release after investigators found child porn, marijuana plants, and firearms in his home in 2015.
