Three people were detained after a bike theft investigation led to a half-hour chase through rural roads and farm fields Wednesday around 7:00 a.m.
The chase came to an end when the fleeing truck plunged into a creek in a field near Westbrook Drive and North Butler Road.
The suspects abandoned the truck and took off running but were caught a short distance away. One of the suspects had an outstanding arrest warrant, police said. and one was transported to a hospital as a precaution.
Brandon Avery Samuel Proctor, 35, Mathew David Miller, 33, and Cody Davis Brown, 33, addresses unavailable, were arrested for interference. Other charges are pending.
A bike was discovered in the back of the truck.
Two Cedar Falls Police Department squad cars suffered minor damage in the chase. Cedar Falls Police chief Jeff Olson said that the truck had been reported stolen, and the plates were stolen from another vehicle.
