The North Butler School District has announced that they will eliminate their 3 year old preschool program beginning next school year, according to KWWL. The school district says they made the decision after reviewing the district’s projected budget. They say they need to cut programs that are not state mandated to protect core K-12 programs and required services. Many other public school districts are also looking at ways to make cuts with less funding coming from the state.
