John Deere in Waterloo will lay off 345 more employees in September. This is in addition to layoffs announced earlier this year. According to an email to employees the layoffs will be effective September 20th. This layoff is indefinite and will affect production workers with the least seniority. John Deere has recently announced further layoffs at their plants in Dubuque, Davenport, and Moline, Illinois. The company says they are reacting to market factors and trying to balance their workforce with those factors.
