$400K in Costs Shaved from Elementary Schools Construction

More than $400,000 has been shaved from the construction budgets for the two new elementary schools in Waverly, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Seven of the 19 contractors involved in the project were able to make cost reductions by using different materials or by utilizing different brands. Costs are now at $38.43 million. Ground work at the school sites is scheduled to get underway this month. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Wednesday at the northwest elementary site.
