Bremer County reported five new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend. That brings the county’s total of confirmed positive tests to eight. Once again very little information on those new cases has been released. Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community reported that one of their residents was case number 3 on Friday. Other care centers throughout the state that have hit by COVID-19 have not fared well. The Bremer County Health Department says to limit the spread of the virus by staying home as much as possible, send just one family member for essentials such as groceries and medicine, cover coughs and sneezes with tissue or elbow, and wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. They also say if you go outside to avoid groups and stay 6 feet away from other individuals.
