Disorderly Houses Ordinance

Monday night the Waverly City Council will hear the third and final reading of Ordinance 1049, which adds a section titled “Keeping Disorderly House” to the Public Offenses chapter. This ordinance would give officers another means of handling disorderly homes and neighbors.

City Administrator James Bronner shares why the ordinance is needed:

Bronner says the ordinance adds a policy that would fine a disorderly residence after multiple prior warnings.

Monday night’s meeting will also feature a public hearing on whether or not Bremer Avenue will be 3-lanes or 4-lanes.
