A crash near Lamont sent one man to the hospital and another to jail, according to KWWL. A vehicle driven by Benjamin McAllen of Arlington was driving northbound on Highway 187 when he crossed the centerline. Coming the other direction was a tanker truck. The driver of that truck, Justin Stone of Manchester, attempted to swerve to miss McAllen but the two vehicles sideswiped each other. McAllen’s vehicle went into the ditch, striking a utility pole and ending up in a corn field. McAllen’s passenger, Shad McAllen, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was rushed to a hospital. Benjamin McAllen was charged with driving while license barred, driving whle license suspended and failure to to yield half of the roadway.
