A Charles City man has been acquitted of one felony but convicted of two misdemeanors after being accused of having inappropriate contact with a minor, according to KIMT. 46 year old James Boehmer was arrested in March and charged with lascivious acts with a child, indecent contact with a child, and lascivious conduct with a minor for contact he had with a child between 2014 and 2017. On Thursday he was acquitted of the felonious lascivious acts charge but the indecent contact and lascivious conduct charges both stuck. He will be sentenced on January 24th. He faces up to 3 years in prison if given the maximum for each charge.
