A Waterloo man was arrested on Thursday night after leading police on a chase that reached speeds of 110 mph. 38 year old Jeremy Towsley has been charged with eluding while operating while intoxicated and second offense operating while intoxicated. Police say they spotted Towsley going 70 in 30 mph zone near the intersection of East 4th Street and Dane Street. When they attempted to pull the vehicle over Towsley sped up. Towsley nearly lost control of the vehicle multiple times before fully losing control attempting to turn from Dubuque Road onto Gilbertville Road. He then tried to run from police but stopped when he was threatened with tazers. He later admitted to being unable to maintain his balance while fleeing. Police say he had a blood alcohol concentration of .185. He is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.
