Wednesday at 11:00 Governor Kim Reynolds announced that a testing strike team was in Bremer County to provide testing for long term care facilities.
The latest numbers from the state show that 139,146 Iowans have been tested for COVID-19 to this point. 18,262 have tested positive. Of those who have tested positive 9,896 have now recovered. 487 others have died from the virus in the state. Bremer County officially has 67 cases but 58 have now recovered and 6 have died. Butler County has 15 cases with 12 now recovered. Floyd County has 18 cases with 10 now recovered and 1 death. Chickasaw County has 8 cases but all of them have now recovered. Fayette has 26 cases with all recovered. And Buchanan has 31 cases with 25 recovered. Black Hawk County Health Department reports 1,922 cases and 42 deaths. The county now says they have moved COVID-19 status from High to Moderate.
