Waterloo Police are investigating a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist on Thursday afternoon, according to KWWL. Police were called to West 6th Street and Commercial Street around 3:00 p.m. The driver of the vehicle says as he was exiting an alley the bicyclist rode in front of the vehicle, leading to the collision. A witness who says she was in the alley at the time of the crash says the car failed to stop as they exited the alley. The bicyclist, a 16 year old, was first taken to Allen Hospital before being flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. No charges have been filed to this point.
