A Waterloo Fire Rescue ambulance was involved in an accident while responding to a 911 call Tuesday night, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The collision happened in the area of West Ninth Street and Williston Avenue. The impact triggered the airbags in the ambulance, however none of the crew was seriously injured according to fire department officials. One person from the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. There were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the crash. A utility pole was damaged in the accident.
