A video making the rounds on social media appears to show a man taking down Pride flags and throwing them into the Cedar River off of the 4th Street Bridge in Waterloo. The flags had been put in place by Cedar Valley Pride Fest who normally hold their annual celebration around this time. Police were made aware of the vandalism. They searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Cedar Valley Pride Fest reported Wednesday evening on their Facebook page that with the help of the Kings and Queens Club and Main Street Waterloo they were able to replace all of the flags.
