A student at Charles City High School has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to KIMT. The school district was notified by Floyd County Public Health about the positive test. All areas within the school utilized by the infected student are temporarily closed off as they thoroughly clean and disinfect those spaces. The student will be allowed to return to school once they have gone 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medicine and symptoms are improving. If the student has no symptoms they must wait 10 days from the day of the test before returning to school. Floyd County Public Health says no school activities or athletics are affected by this positive case.
